QSBC Holds Grand-Opening Expansion Event
By Brian Hobbs | April 1, 2008
For the morning of Sunday, March 30,
QSBC has mailed nearly 10,000 invitations to apartments and houses in the area. Hundreds more were hand-delivered,
each of which detailed the ministries and opportunities provided by the 40,000 square feet of new space.
“Through a $5 million capital campaign, our congregation is giving sacrificially in order to make room for more
people in our community,” said Pastor Hance Dilbeck.
On the grand-opening Sunday, QSBC will offer its standard three morning worship services – 8:15 a.m., 9:30a.m. & 11
a.m. During the services, QSBC will highlight the progress made through the capital campaign, as well as thank each of
the individuals and groups who contributed to the building campaign.
At the conclusion of the worship services, a special reception for guests will be held in the Fellowship Hall, where QSBC
ministry tables will be set up on display. An optional guided tour of the church will be made available to show visitors
just how the church was expanded to include:
• a brand-new youth building to accommodate
hundreds of students;
• more children’s classroom space and
state-of-the-art security features for its
growing pre-school and school-aged ministry;
and
• an expanded Fitness and Recreation
Center that offers a jogging track, game
room, basketball court, a weight room
and more—all for only $20 per person
membership fee each year.
“Our desire is to bring glory to God by meeting people’s needs, and these expanded ministries are designed to do just
that,” added Dilbeck.
On March 30, QSBC members will also hear a report about the financing of the project, including what has been
given to date and what is needed to complete the project.
“We pray this grand-opening event will be a unique time to connect with God and our neighbors,” said the Pastor. “Our
members can use this event as an opportunity to invite others to church.”
