FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

On Sunday, May 13, Quail Springs Baptist Church passed an important milestone for “A Work of Heart,” the church’s three-year capital campaign which began in November 2006. As of last Sunday, the giving total for the campaign surpassed $1 million dollars for a total of $1,005,837.38. Our three-year Victory Goal is $5 million dollars.

Here are some frequently asked questions about the campaign:

1. How much has been received so far?
$1,005,837.38 has been received as of Sunday, May 13.

2. Are we there yet?
No. We still need $4 million in order to pay for Phase 1 within three years.

3. How much have we borrowed so far?
About $1.4 million.

4. How much have interest payments reduced the amount available for construction?
Interest payments are being made from the regular Operating Budget so that 100% of the gifts designated for the ‘A Work of Heart’ campaign are going to pay for construction.

5. What is the status of the old loan for the Worship Center Renovation?
It is paid off.

6. When will the Youth Building be completed?
We have experienced weather related delays but are confident that it will be in use when school resumes this fall.

7. What will happen to the space currently occupied by the Youth?
It will be remodeled into adult space using funds from this year’s budget.

8. When will the Preschool Wing be complete?
Certain portions will be available sooner, but it is expected to be complete and occupied by January 1, 2008.

9. Is landscaping included in the current Phase 1 project?
Yes. Upon completion, the grounds will be cleaned and landscaping planted. Also, a new water well is being dug and the sprinkler system is being upgraded.
