What was that?
Posted by: | CommentsHey Leaders,
Have you found yourself in the days or weeks after a sermon thinking about a powerful thought, quote, text, and then said to yourself, “Now what was that?”
Well, don’t forget that Rick Hardin and the AV Team do a fantastic job of providing audio and video of Dr. Dilbeck’s sermons. Not only that, but with the video archive, there are also full notes.
So, for instance, last week’s powerful message on “Amen” is available to easily hear again, and see the Pastor’s notes.
See it again here:
AMEN
I thank the Lord for how our Pastor feeds the solid Word every week, and I am also thankful for this unique resource to help us continue to reflect on these times we share as a Church Body.
I am praying for you as you prepare to Teach, Care, and Send on Sunday!

Spring Clean!
Posted by: | CommentsHowdy!
Spring has sprung, and I don’t know about you but at the Griffin house we are in full Spring mode, from yard work, to house work. It is such a good time to come out of the winter doldrums and freshen up.
Likewise, in your Sunday School class, take some time to do these things:
1. Tidy up. If there are posters from last fall’s bible study, throw it away. If there are decorations out from Christmas, help them move along. Please feel the freedom to make your area fresh by keeping it clear of clutter. Remember that we share our spaces too, so let me ask you to not over-decorate or personalize your room too much.
2. Take a look at your Sunday School roll. Perhaps it has been a while since you have made contact with all of your members and prospects. Energize your department in teams to split up the roll and contact everyone before the summer schedule hits.
3. Pray. Pray for a fresh wind and bright light of the Son to shine on your class. Pray that the Lord would refresh and renew your class life and growth, spiritually and numerically.
4. Freshen up your lesson. Rearrange the room set-up. Use a different teaching method (discussion, Q&A, video, reverse the schedule). Find a commentary in the Library or LifeWay that augments your lesson. Change your study method and routine. Perhaps talk with another teacher on techniques they employ and enjoy.
Thank you for freshening up Sunday School. I thank the Lord for how He continues to bless this very simple, but powerful ministry.
I am praying for you!

Invitation to the Lord’s Supper
Posted by: | CommentsThis Sunday night, March 28th, we will remember Christ’s sacrifice for our sin at the Lord’s Supper. It will be at 6:30 in the Worship Center. All of our 5:00 Equip U and Kids’ activities will be meeting as well.
What better way to begin a meaningful Easter week than this special time at the Lord’s remembrance table?
Let me ask you to do a few things:
1. Begin to prepare your own heart for this Church Body time. Reflect now on your lost state before you came to Christ. Think on Jesus, the Lamb of God, sinless; yet laying His life down for yours.
2. Commit to be here.
3. Contact your Class roll, members and prospects, and encourage them to attend. Highlight this Sunday morning in Sunday School. Invite, encourage everyone to be back at 6:30.
4. Pray. Pray that God will use us to bring new believers to that table of fellowship and remembrance!
I am lifting you all up, Happy Easter!
Ray
