Does Your Neighbor Know Resource
Posted by: | CommentsRecently I purchased a new read at LifeWay that has been refreshing and inspiring. It is the book Unexpected Adventure.
In a very transparent way, Lee Strobel and Mark Mittelberg chronicle heartwarming accounts of their encounters in sharing their faith in many different ways. Written in a format that can easily be used as an addition during your daily Quiet Time, you’ll find these doses of encouragement, especially during this year of reaching out, particularly motivating.
As you wake each day, ask God to show Himself to you, His mission for you, and then watch for God moments through the day. If I close my eyes, I will see nothing.
I just prayed for you all!

Does Your Neighbor Know?
Posted by: | CommentsWow, what a day yesterday with Chris Plekenpol and the report from our students and their Gravity Weekend. I am thankful for the testimony of our kids (and adults) lives as they grew in the Lord and in service this past weekend. Be ready for our launch of Power Up Your World March 29th, which will help us focus on our mission in Sunday School.
If you enjoyed Chris Plekenpol, check out his testimony online at www.iamsecond.com.
Our Leadership Meeting will be the last Wednsday night of this month, February 25th, 6:15, Cafe.
I am so thankful to you and your ministry to the church family of Quail, and to the community of OKC!

Special Leader Experience, Wednesday Night, Jan. 28th, 6:15, Cafe
Posted by: | CommentsLeaders,
I am so excited about our next Sunday School Leader meeting coming up on Wednesday the 28th. This will be unlike any meeting we have had so far.
It will actually be an experience. I want to ask you to begin now praying about this meeting as we continue to focus on “Does Your Neighbor Know.”
Please invite your department leadership team to be here to walk through this special time together.
Bonus: February is “Focus on Your Family Month” so Sunday Night Services will be about your marriage relationships, single family, and godly parenting. Also, you know that Fireproof the movie is also being shown at the Student Center on the 13th and 20th, to give a boost to marriage relationships.
I am so thankful to serve with you!

Go to the Movies!
Posted by: | CommentsFIREPROOF at QSBC February 13th and 20th.
During the month of February, QSBC will be showing a special presentation of FIREPROOF! The movie will be shown on the Parent Night Outs (February 13th and 20th). So departments, use this as an opportunity for your couples to enjoy great fun for your kids at the church, and a fun night for you at the QSBC theater (well, okay, student center).
We will have a complimentary snack bar for you with all your movie favorites like pop, candy and of course, pop-corn.
Childcare is FREE for this night, just make sure you sign up with Anna Emamghorashi at preacherswife@yahoo.com.
All adults are invited to attend, and in this year of “Does Your Neighbor Know,” please get the word out and bring a friend with you.
Check out more on the movie on the web here: Fireproof
Gathering Jars
Posted by: | CommentsHello Leaders!
It is hard to believe that 2008 is coming to a close.
One highlight of this past year was our special guest at our Leadership Rally in August, Topper Reid. Remember his encouragement to us from 2 Kings 4:1-7?
This passage speaks to the challenge of our finding and the Lord’s filling of empty jars. Hopefully, you still have your empty jar you received visible. If not, find it (or another) as a reminder this year of these things:
Are you praying about being an empty vessel for the Lord to fill and use?
How is your class an empty vessel for the lost?
Are you prayerful of the empty vessels that the Lord will use out of your class to lead in 2009?
It’s 2009! Grab some empty jars for the Lord to fill and use!
I am so thankful to serve with you!
