Mission Mosaic

Posted by: Ray Griffin | Comments (0)

Hey everyone!

I am so grateful for how so many of you have caught the vision of Power Up Your World! This Sunday we’ll display your visual representation of your mission effort since March when we launch Power Up Your World.

Please get me your mosaic as soon as you can so I can start filling the wall by the library. Just FYI, remember that the staff mosaic is available to see as an example on the bulletin board by the library. This Sunday night, May 17th, is the actual deadline, we want to have everything on display that night.

Thank you again for your faithfulness to do the work of the ministry of Sunday School every week, and your willingness to try and stretch in doing new things like this Missional emphasis. By the way, this is not something that should stop for your Sunday School group!

By the way, if you are aware of any college graduates, please let me or Scott Campbell know as soon as you can so we can recognize them on this coming Graduate Sunday at Quail.

I love you all and your dedication to His Church!

On mission!

Posted by: Ray Griffin | Comments (0)

Hey Leaders!

I am thanking the Lord for how you are serving in our community! Please take some time if you have not done so, and send me a quick update on your area of service.

Just in case you are still looking for your mission, think about these two:

1. The staff was on mission yesterday at the Refuge, downtown OKC. We helped in the continued work with this ministry of restoring this part of the city that ministers to so many of our homeless. They have opportunities for service each Saturday from 9 AM through the afternoon, and our host said you can simply show up, or call and let them know you will be coming. If you have skilled workers available, he would be happy to know that for special construction projects.

The Refuge

2. With the recent fires in eastern Oklahoma county, I am sure there would be opportunity to meet needs there. One resource contact would be Sam Porter with our disaster relief team at the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma at 942-3800, or contanct the local city offices of Choctaw, Harrah, or Midwest City.

Again, I am so thankful for the passionate work you all are engaging in. Please let me know what your focus is. I do love you all and I am praying for you!

Recession Hope

Posted by: Ray Griffin | Comments (0)

Hey Leaders,

Take some time this week to encourage your groups to attend the Town Hall for Hope meeting with Dave Ramsey, a live simulcast QSBC will host in the Worship Center on Thursday, April 23rd, at 7PM. In this year of “Does Your Neighbor Know” and “Power Up” what better way to invite someone to QSBC for encouragement during these tough times.

Check out the link and invite someone. Town Hall for Hope.

Also, thank you so much for sharing about your MISSION that you are on during our Power Up emphasis! This is such an exciting time for our Sunday School Ministry and I thank you for praying and committing to this special work.

Encourage your members to also continue to commit to their daily Power Up devotion, committing time to listen to God’s Word and His heart for service and ministry.

Let me know of any way I can serve you!

Power Up Your World April 5th

Posted by: Ray Griffin | Comments (0)

Hey Leaders,

I am praying for you as you prepare for this Sunday’s Lesson #2 of Power Up Your World here at QSBC. I am also praying about your focus for your mission that you will commit to during these weeks.

Remember to make some kind of record/memory of your mission work: pictures, notes, reflections, so that we can share these together on May 17th.

Encourage your class this week to continue using their Power Up World devotion guide daily during this special emphasis.

Thank you all for your dedication, service, and heart!
Ray
