As you prepare to lead your class through the journey of My316, I thought I’d give a few details that might help along the way:

1. Pray-there is nothing more critical than your heart as a leader centered on Jesus Christ and His will and passion for you and for your class. My316 is a great method; don’t miss Jesus and the point of this emphasis, sharing what He has done in our lives with a lost world that needs Him.

2. Check out the My316 Lessons online. Remember you can do a full hour of the lesson for the four weeks, or do the supplemental lesson to go along with your Explore the Bible or Bible Studies for Life lesson. You can also check out many more resources at bgco.org/my316.

3. For Week 1 in particular, you will be giving an overview of what My316 is, where you all will be headed. There will be a very powerful focus on how we came to faith in Christ, particularly, who prayed for us, who shared the Gospel with us, and who lived the Gospel before us. Be prepared to share your own journey, but also, take some time this week to contact some folks in your class to be prepared to share, both in the introduction, but perhaps later in the lesson as well.

4. Use the handouts. These are located as the last page or so past the meat of the lesson in the leader guide and online leader guide. This not only gives focus to the lesson during the hour, but it also gives something to take home. It is likely that take home sheet will be a powerful reminder of the emphasis. Please call us in the office if we can help you produce these sheets.

Be watching for next week’s update as we experience My316 together!

For God so Loved the World!

Tonight we will zero in on our evangelism focus beginning September 19th with My316.com. I look forward to planning for this powerful time for us as a Sunday School Ministry. You will have time to plan with your leadership team as well.

ROUND UP!

By Ray Griffin · Comments (0)

Hey Everyone!

Round Up 2010 is here! It has been so exciting to see everything coming together, from our ministry staff team, to all of our Sunday School leaders being ready for this huge Sunday.

Please commit to do these things in the final hours before Sunday morning:

Pray-pray that the Lord will truly bless us as we gather everyone back up for the new year. Pray for the final leaders needed in the preschool/children’s ministry area.

Contact-Make one final push to contact members, prospects, and invite new people to be in your Sunday School class Sunday.

Help-On Sunday morning thank you for helping out in some simple ways. Park out. Wear a nametag. Help people who look lost. Squeeze in your pew, or if you attend 11:00 worship, come to 8:15.

Prepare-Prepare your heart and mind for a great Bible lesson. Prepare to share your vision for your class for the Sunday School year. Prepare the room. I know many are displaced due to the flood, but clear away clutter, or perhaps set up differently. Pray in your room before all arive.

This is an exciting time. I am so grateful to serve with you!

Good Day Leaders!

I am thrilled we are able to meet for Sunday School! And, this week I am excited about the opportunity for us to gear up for the 2010-2011 Sunday School Year with our Annual Sunday School Leadership Rally. This is going to be a powerful year.

Our special guest will be Bob Mayfield, Sunday School Specialist with the BGCO. He will be leading us through a look at My316, an evangelistic thrust for us for the fall. Plus, he’ll also be encouraging us with the 5 core Cs of Sunday School. You WILL be blessed!

Please be here and encourage your entire Sunday School team to attend with you.

The Schedule will be:
4:00 Session 1 Fellowship Hall
5:00 Snack Supper
5:15 Session 2 Fellowship Hall
6:30 Sunday School Leader Commissioning in the Worship Service

See you Sunday, and thanks again for your flexibility as we meet this week!

Hello Leaders!

What an eventful season here at QSBC! God is good though, all the time. I am so looking forward to seeing everyone in Sunday School this week at QSBC. There are still many many details to take care of between now and then though. Please be praying for the Education Team as we plan, particularly Dixie and Laurie.

One critical step is meeting with all Sunday School Leaders tomorrow night at 6:15 in the Cafe. At this meeting we will have the latest and greatest on where you will be meeting Sunday. We will also cover a number of other important items too as a group; then you will be able to meet together in your teams to discuss your plan for Sunday and beyond.

See you all tomorrow night. Call me on my cell any time 850.1351.

In His Grace,
Ray
