Sunday School Leaders!

Thank you for being a leader in Sunday School at QSBC! Our mission is much like Ezra in Ezra 7:10, as he "set his heart to study the Law of the Lord and to practice it, and to teach His statutes and ordinances in Israel." We are here to help people grow in Discipleship, Ministry, Fellowship, and Evangelism, all to God's Glory! LOOK WHAT GOD IS DOING!

To Receive Automatic Email Updates

We will have regular 9:30 and 11:00 Worship Services and Sunday School, but no early 8:15 Worship Service. God bless you and be careful!

An extra hour of the Son!

By Ray Griffin · Comments (0)

Hey Leaders!

Can you believe it is time to spring those clocks forward? Wow! What a winter we’ve had. I am personally looking forward to the extra hour of sun at night.

Speaking of an extra hour of sun, as you set your clocks, remember to take this as an opportunity to set your Son clocks. Maybe it is that you have neglected your own personal time with the Son every day. Please use this time change, as a time of change in your own daily walk.

We have talked many times about our inability to fill another’s cup if our own cup is dry. Meet with Him everyday, like the woman at the well, who experienced a living Savior, Who is the well-spring of Living water. Remember this is not lesson prep time, this is your own personal, one on one time, with Jesus Christ.

13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again ; 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst ; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” 15 The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, so I will not be thirsty nor come all the way here to draw.”

John 4:13-15 (Crosswalk, NASB)

See you Sunday!

Hey Leaders,

I am excited about meeting with you all tomorrow night in the Cafe to talk about some of the exciting things that are on the way this year at QSBC!

Please take some time to drop a quick email note or call to your Sunday School team about being at this important meeting. We will meet together, and then you’ll have time to plan as a team for the month ahead.

We’ll also take time to pray:
Pray that the Lord will use us in ministry in NW OKC!
Pray that the Lord will use us to touch individual lives this Sunday at QSBC!

See you at the Cafe,
Ray

Prepare for Sunday.

By Ray Griffin · Comments (0)

Hey Leaders,

Just a quick word to prepare for this coming Sunday. It is a Sunday just like any Sunday, February 21st. But, all Sundays are important. All Sundays require our best. So what can you do to be in the zone for Sunday?

1. Be praying. Pray frequently that the Lord will fill you and use you. Pray that He will inspire and influence your Sunday School team as you minister on Sunday morning. Remember, try to pray together as a leadership team before your Sunday School hour begins Sunday morning.

2. Study. If you are the teacher study hard. And not only the lesson…study:
Your group, know who you are teaching. Are there current needs or crisis that the lesson speaks to directly. Do you need to take special time for prayer in class for a particular concern. Also, in knowing your group, do they have a dazed look, or nod off? Study ways to teach, shake it up. Use discussion, use a Q and A time, do buzz groups where they take questions about the passage and dive in and find answers, use a unique starter, or a special activity at the end to seal the point.

3. Call your guests from last Sunday and any members who may have been out a Sunday or two. Let people know they are missed; that we care for them. The power of an invite, call, contact is huge.

I love you all and your commitment to shepherd at QSBC!
