Hello all from beautiful Glorieta, New Mexico!
Thanks for allowing me to come to this place to spend some away time with family, but also to spend some concentrated time with some of the SBC’s most influential leaders. One leader, Ed Stetzer, has challenged us to press on in Sunday School/Small Groups with a clear and intentional purpose to Go and make disciples. To be on mission.
I hope this sounds familiar, because our purpose at QSBC in Sunday School is to Reach and Teach, but at the same time, I have been challenged to refocus! To recommit! To commit to the strategy of each of us in Sunday School to connect with our own mission fields every week, personally.
Who are you praying for and/or reaching personally this week? This is a call for you and me to not do something new, but to press in to what we know is true: people are looking for authentic relationships with God and with a people who love Him and each other. Where is your harvesting field?
I am praying for you all in our mission to reach our community and the world with the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ!

At Wednesday night’s prayer meeting, the pastor encouraged us to be careful to give thanks to the Lord for all the ways He continues to bless us. His text was Psalm 44. Remember that our cry is “Not to us o Lord, not to us, but to Your Name give glory!”
As you think of the ways that we are blessed as a church family, as a Sunday School class, in our families, and individually, let us speak that praise and thanks to the Lord.
The pastor encouraged us to take time on Sunday to do that very thing. Please plan for time this week for individuals to share how the Lord has blessed them and to offer thanks for His great goodness!
Round Up is coming, begin now making preparation for contacting all the souls on your Sunday School Ministry roll to be here August 17th. Be planning your Round Up fellowships in August. And, be praying!
I love and appreciate you all!

Hello!
I am so thankful for an awesome week of Vacation Bible School here at QSBC! It has been so much fun, and so many have ministered to these special kiddos.
Many families are represented by the kids in attendance this week. In particular, many of these families have no church home.
Would you make a special effort to come by this Saturday morning at 9:00, rec center, to pick up family information and take a packet to them about QSBC? There are approximately 50 families! Wow!
God bless you as you minister today!

Recently, some have mentioned to me the names of those who are ready to lead in Sunday School at Quail. I am so thankful for your recommendations, and I would ask all of you to do three things:
1. Join with me by praying for more leaders to serve in Sunday School. We need to expand by creating new units.
2. Be watching for new leaders in your area. Give folks an opportunity to substitute for you as you are out either in teaching, or leading an activity.
3. Listen for individuals stories of call to service. Ask about personal testimonies of faith in Christ and for current growth and discipleship.
Also, be willing to give folks a chance. Remember, you were new at some point. May the Lord continue to shine His blessing on us as we do His Kingdom work.
Please remind your classes about the Sunday night fellowship at Jacob’s Ladder on May 25th, and don’t forget our leader meeting this week, Wednesday night the 21st.
I love you all and I am praying for you!

Hey Leaders! I hope you all are doing great today.
Here is a unique opportunity that came my way just today (Thursday) that I wanted to make available for you as a potential service opportunity. It is at our State Baptist Children’s Missions Camp:
Volunteers are needed to work at CrossTimbers Camp near McAlester.
All of these projects need to be completed in the next week in order for camp to be ready for the summer season.
Ceramic Tile
Laying ceramic tile in bathrooms of four cabins. Camp will provide tile and tile saw.
Bunk Beds
Assembly of 30 wooden bunk beds, using lag screws with hex heads. Team of two to five people. Bring ratchet and socket sets, electric screw drivers or air drivers.
Painting
Exterior painting of three cabins. Team of six to ten people. Paint can be rolled or sprayed if team can bring power sprayer.
To volunteer, contact camp manager Beau Waters at bwaters@bgco.org or call the Volunteer Missions office of the BGCO at 405/942-3000 ext. 4336.
Thanks Leaders for all you do every Sunday and all through the week in ministering to the people in your groups!
I am praying for you all, and I am so thankful for you!
